Trained as a physicist, Jack Miller approaches his research at the intersection of physics, oncology, and cardiovascular medicine. He uses the methods of physics to understand, diagnose, and manage diseases - among other things, by employing advanced technologies such as MRI scanning to study how specific molecules behave in the human body over time and space.

"Being appointed a fellow at the Institute of Physics is not just a personal recognition. It is also an acknowledgment of my competencies and expertise by my peers. It means a lot and confirms that my work contributes valuable insights to society and embodies the essence of physics in a way that is recognized by the professional community. I will do my best to continue to harness the transformative power of physics for the benefit of public health," says Jack Miller.
