Intelligent Systems

Currently, treatment modalities are based on clinical experience. We focus our research on how technologies and digital tools can improve treatment for patients with maxillofacial disorders.

What We Do

The aim of this research theme is to incorporate intelligent systems and artificial intelligence (AI) to automate medical decision making and treatments in the field of cranio- and dentofacial surgery. This include medical and dental robotics, image guidance, soft tissue navigation, treatment planning and machine learning. Furthermore, we develop predictive modelling algorithms to make better-informed decisions regarding patient care.

Who We Are

We are a group of four dental specialists that bridge different disciplines within dentistry, orthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and medicine. We have research collaborations with national and international partners.
