Join us for the Danish Cardiovascular Academy Midterm Symposium, Mastering Congestion in Acute Heart Failure – Diagnostics, Therapy, and ICU Strategies.
Congestion is one of the defining features of acute heart failure, yet its assessment and management remain complex. How do we identify the congested patient accurately? How should we monitor treatment response? Which pharmacological strategies offer the greatest benefit, and what are the next steps when conventional therapy is no longer sufficient?
This symposium will bring together internationally renowned experts, including Alexandre Mebazaa and Frederik Verbrugge, alongside leading Danish clinicians and researchers and a new generation of promising investigators within the field. Through state-of-the-art lectures, scientific presentations, clinical perspectives, and interactive panel discussions, the programme will cover the full spectrum of acute heart failure management.
We will move from the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and monitoring of congestion to diuretic and vasoactive therapies, treatment resistance, and the management of critically ill patients.
Expect a highly clinically relevant and scientifically engaging day, combining international expertise, cutting-edge research, practical insights, and discussion across specialties, institutions, and career stages.
