Dietary Supplements and Cardiovascular Diseases, Aging and Performance - with a Focus on Q10, Selenium & Ketones

This course focuses on clinical application and biochemical pathways of the interplay between dietary supplements in relation to cardiovascular disease, aging and performance. With focus on dietary supplements, as co-enzyme Q10, selenium and ketones, you will learn how dietary supplements is an important part of treatment within metabolic diseases, enhance performance and affects the aging process.

The two days will include lectures, group work, discussion and exercises. And in addition, great opportunities of strengthening your network and building new collaborations. 

Aim 

The aim of the course is to enlighten the participants on the correlations between diet supplementation and cardiovascular diseases, aging, and performance. 

Participants in the course will:  

  • Understand the biochemistry of dietary supplementation 

  • Hear about dietary supplements as clinical treatment 

  • Get to know the evidence behind different dietary supplements on performance optimization, anti-aging and healthy living. 

  • Learn to design a clinical trial that includes dietary supplements.

Early career researchers and senior researchers interested in cardiovascular disease and aging, but also researchers interested in performance.

Accommodation

DCAcademy covers participation fee, catering, and accommodation. 

For early career researchers, accommodation will be in shared double rooms.

Target group

Please note that you are not guaranteed a seat at the event if you do not meet the target group requirements. Priority is given to early career researchers (PhD-students and Postdocs) employed at Danish research and healthcare institutions or in life science industry. A number of seats may be reserved for participants from abroad. If the event is overbooked, organisers reserve the right to select participants based on the defined requirements. 

No show fee 

Please note that the DCAcademy will charge a no-show fee of 2000 DKK if you do not show up and have not unregistered 1 week prior to start.
