Highlights:
- Theme 2026: Turning Data into Impact
This year’s meeting will focus on how digital health, artificial intelligence, and novel data-driven approaches are advancing cardiovascular care.
- Oral presentations and posters
Based on abstracts, 16 participants will be selected for oral presentations and receive peer feedback. All other participants will present their work in poster format, ensuring everyone has the chance to share their research.
- Masterclasse
Each participant will attend two out of four masterclasses- Grant writing and grant processing
- Receiving and Giving Peer-Review
- Career paths beyond academia
- Gambling without knowing the odds: How much can I trust my data?
- Workshop on AI
From gAI to LLMs to “AI as method”: Clear up the confusion and explore how to use AI productively and ethically in our projects.
- Networking in Motion
Connect with peers and international experts during scientific sessions, social activities, and informal networking on the ferry and in the Norwegian mountains.
A Comprehensive Programme
The Winter Meeting combines scientific lectures, inspirational talks, workshops, group work, and oral presentations. The programme is designed to keep participants at the forefront of cardiovascular research while building strong professional and social connections. Participation in the full programme is expected from all attendees.
Presentations
All participants are required to present either an oral or a poster presentation. Oral presentations will be selected from submitted abstracts. Abstract rules must be followed.
Who can attend?
Postdoctoral fellows and third-year PhD students are prioritised. Confirmation or rejection letters will be send out after registration deadline.
Practicalities
The 2026 Winter Meeting will be held on the Oslo ferry and at the Norefjell Conference Center, Norway.
- Travel
The meeting begins at the Copenhagen Ferry Terminal. For the return journey on Friday afternoon, the programme will split into two options:- Return to Copenhagen: Participants sail back on the Oslo ferry, with accommodation included on board.
- Return via Hirtshals: Participants travel by bus to Hirtshals and continue by ferry, with onward bus connections to Aalborg and Aarhus.
The programme will differ from Friday lunch onwards, depending on the chosen travel option. Please see programme, when available.
- Costs
Transportation and accommodation on the ferry and at Norefjell are fully sponsored by DCAcademy.
Pre-Winter Meeting webinar (Obligatory)
10 February, 15:30-16:30.
The webinar will cover presentation techniques and provide time for practical questions.
Accommodation
All postdocs and PhD students will share a room with another participant of the same gender. Further information will be provided closer to the meeting.

ECTS points
Participants can apply to their PhD school for ECTS credits, using the Certificate of Attendance (available on request after the meeting) and the programme.
No-show fee
Please note that DCAcademy will charge a no-show fee of 2000 DKK if you do not attend and have not unregistered before the meeting starts.
