The 6th Danish Single-Cell Symposium for the Danish Single-Cell community takes place at Aarhus University on 21-22 May, 2026. It is a two-day event combining the annual meetings of the Danish Single-Cell Network and the CellX (Danish Single Cell Examination Platform).

CellXis a national research platform/infrastructure dedicated to single cell and spatial omics analysis, funded by the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science. CellX is hosted by Aarhus University, with strong nodes at University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and University of Copenhagen (KU). Such a comprehensive and integrated platform aims to help bridge users across Denmark who share interests in analysing cells and tissues at the single-cell level, and to provide them with easy access to the necessary cutting-edge technologies and solid downstream data analysis support.

The Danish Single-Cell Networkaims to foster a vibrant environment for single-cell sequencing and spatial omics studies in Denmark through knowledge exchange, newsletters, seminar series, and annual days. The network focuses on both experimental and bioinformatics aspects in single-cell sequencing and spatial omics. The Danish Single-Cell Network has more than 200 members representing academic labs in all major Danish universities (University of Copenhagen, Aarhus University, University of Southern Denmark, Technical University of Denmark, Aalborg University) and industrial partners.

Our two-day Danish Single-Cell Symposium will bring together over 200 leading scientists, principal investigators, postdoctoral researchers, and PhD students to discuss the latest breakthroughs in single-cell genomics, spatial transcriptomics, bio-imaging, multi-omics, and computational biology. Our program features internationally renowned keynote speakers, local speakers, selected short talks from abstract submissions and poster sessions, fostering a dynamic environment for scientific exchange and collaboration.
