International research collaboration

The Department of Dentistry and Oral Health assigns high priority to developing and strengthening the department's research via collaboration with external partners. This is reflected by the department’s partnership agreements with several international partners.

The agreements typically consist of a general agreement (Memorandum of Understanding), which can be followed by specific sub-agreements – e.g. on the awarding of double PhD degrees.

The partnership agreements cover:

  • Specific research projects
  • Collaboration on publications
  • Joint events, courses, seminars and conferences
  • Awarding of double PhD degrees

Partnership agreements with foreign universities

The existing partnership agreements are with various foreign universities in accordance with the department's desire for increased internationalisation. The strong and binding relations which the department has already established form the basis of new research activities with participation of the department's employees, while also creating an attractive, international PhD and visiting scientist environment with 18 workstations in newly refurbished premises – at present with ten different nationalities represented.
